Your Opportunity

As a Proprietary Content Intern, your primary responsibility is to provide editorial and operational support to the Proprietary Content team in its mission of creating and maintaining quality reference content for the academic, public, and school library markets. You will accomplish this by taking on various projects that support and improve editorial and operational workflows and contribute to overall content maintenance goals. 

 

This remote position is U.S.-based only (excluding U.S. territories)  

What You'll Do

What You’ll Do (Primary Responsibilities) 

  • Execute content quality improvement projects 
  • Identify, propose, and implement process improvements 
  • Ensure accurate content and metadata in the content and project management systems 
  • Update existing content according to editorial and style guides 
  • Actively participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions

 

Your Team  

You will be welcomed as a member of the Proprietary Content team (a team of about 10 people) and the larger Content Search and Operations organization. Our team enjoys the flexibility and greater work life balance working remotely offers. About You

About You 

  • Excellent research skills and language skills (especially grammar, editing, and writing) 
  • Experience in a writing/editing environment 
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools 
  • Bachelor’s degree in progress

  • Strong critical thinking skills and ability to proactively identify, propose, and implement ideas for improvement 
  • Ability to accomplish a variety of tasks according to defined guidelines 
  • Interest in emerging technologies and tools 
  • Familiarity with the Chicago Manual of Style (17th ed.) and MLA Handbook (9th ed.) 
  • Familiarity with productivity platforms like Microsoft Teams and Monday.com and/or content management systems 
  • Undergraduate field of study: English, Communications, Journalism, Liberal Arts, or related field 

Pay Range

USD $20.00 - USD $26.00 /Hr.
