Your Opportunity

Do you enjoy finding information, evaluating it, and sharing it? Would you like to examine academic books and apply descriptors that support library collection development decisions? Would you like a job where you get to use critical thinking skills and also get to put a number on how much you accomplished each day? If so, you should apply to become a GOBI Book Profiler.

This is a full-time hybrid position that requires the ability to work both remotely and in the Contoocook office.

What You'll Do

Describe 30+ items per day
Assign descriptors from GOBI’s proprietary Approval Glossary
Master the extensive rules and exceptions for GOBI’s approval profiling services
Periodically curate lists of recommended titles on topical subjects.

Your Team

You’ll join the 8 other uniquely talented people in the US who currently profile books for GOBI, and you’ll be supported by 4 technical book professionals who use their skills to help you enrich our records.

About You

2+ years of related work experience in higher education, libraries, or the book trade.
Experience with Microsoft Outlook and Teams.
Must be able to lift and carry print books daily.

What sets you apart

College degree or a comparably useful knowledge base.
Prefer to work alone but also work well with others.
Unperturbed by competing expectations for quantity and quality of work.

Pay Range

USD $47,915.00 - USD $68,450.00 /Yr.
