Your Opportunity

As an E-Content Specialist, your primary responsibility is to help build and maintain a comprehensive, high-quality Global Knowledge Base (GKB), a centralized system that stores and manages metadata about electronic resources to ensure accurate linking to full text, to support customer needs.  You will accomplish this by establishing quality data feeds with external data partners, analyzing and manipulating metadata for inclusion in the GKB, and taking ownership of identifying, adding, and maintaining all necessary collections to ensure their full and accurate representation.  Additionally, you will resolve internal and external reported issues in a timely manner by applying strong research and critical-thinking skills, conducting root-cause analysis to identify trends, and implementing proactive solutions to reduce reoccurring issues.

This remote position is U.S.-based only (excluding U.S. territories).

What You'll Do

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with global providers, using effective written and verbal communication to resolve data issues and obtain the metadata required for GKB maintenance.
  • Analyze publisher‑supplied metadata to ensure it is complete, high‑quality, and accurate, proactively identifying gaps and taking action to remediate them.
  • Create, load, and maintain collections in the GKB, managing associated metadata including descriptions, subject classifications, alternate names, and related attributes to support accurate indexing and discovery.
  • Develop and maintain internal documentation that describes how metadata should be transformed and manipulated for loading.
  • Research and source required metadata when it is not provided, ensuring it is properly structured and successfully loaded into the GKB.
  • Prioritize and manage weekly tasks, reporting progress and concerns in daily team workload meetings.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and cross‑functional partners to meet individual, team, and organizational goals.

Your Team

You will be welcomed as a member of the Global Knowledge Base Team (a team of about 30 people) and the larger Product Management organization. Our team enjoys the flexibility and greater work life balance working remotely offers. There will be ample resources, tools, training, and support to ensure your success as an E-Content Specialist and your development and career growth at EIS
